Loose Change - April 2026

What an incredible week we had at the 2026 Amusement Expo International in Las Vegas! I continue to be amazed by the energy, innovation, and collaboration that define our industry. From the education sessions to the show floor, it was inspiring to see so many AAMA members connecting, sharing insights, and celebrating how far we’ve come together. A special congratulations goes out to our Education Committee for curating such a stellar program. Your dedication and creativity continue to raise the bar year after year. Also, I would be remiss in not patting the membership committee on the back for walking the show floor to meet our members and to recruit potential members.

As we look ahead, mark your calendars for FEC Connect, May 4–5, hosted at Star Lanes Polaris in Columbus, Ohio, recently recognized as our FEC of the Year! This event promises an outstanding lineup of learning, networking, and fun in one of the most dynamic entertainment centers in the country.

And don’t forget our AAMA All-Access Annual Meeting is set for August 31st at The Warwick in Dallas, Texas. This gathering will bring together our entire community for meaningful discussions, strategic updates, and of course, plenty of Texas hospitality.

Finally, keep an eye out for upcoming committee volunteer opportunities. Whether you’re stepping up to serve or desire to take on a leadership role as a chair or co-chair, your involvement is what keeps our organization strong and vibrant.

Thank you to every volunteer, committee member, board member, staff, and partners who make this association thrive. Your commitment truly powers the progress of AAMA and the entire amusement industry.

Warm regards,

Beth Standlee

President, AAMA

AAMA is expanding its webinar offerings to bring members more timely insights and valuable perspectives across the industry. Kicking off the series, the Young Professionals Committee presents From Factory to Floor on April 8, focused on strategy and emerging trends shaping the future of our business.

Join us as industry leaders share their take on emerging trends, evolving customer expectations, and what’s shaping the future from production to the game floor. This is a great opportunity to hear directly from voices driving innovation and to stay ahead of what’s next.

All AAMA members are invited to attend and experience what the Young Professionals Committee has been working hard to produce. Whether you're a seasoned professional or newer to the industry, this session offers valuable takeaways for everyone.

We look forward to having you join us!

Coming up:

Then on May 19, the Location Owner Operator Committee takes the stage to discuss the key challenges facing today’s FECs and how operators are navigating an evolving landscape. These sessions are open to all members and are a great way to stay informed, connected, and ahead of what’s next.

You’re invited to an All Access experience built for FEC operators and industry professionals who want more than just another event.  FEC Connect is where meaningful conversations happen, real challenges are explored, and connections actually lead to action—all in a relaxed, interactive setting with peers who understand your business.

AAMA continues to champion the interests of the amusement industry through ongoing advocacy efforts alongside our trusted lobbying partners at DGA.

In early March, a dedicated group of AAMA members traveled to Capitol Hill to meet with lawmakers, share industry insights, and reinforce the importance of policies that support our businesses and communities.

Momentum is building, and we’re already preparing for our next advocacy visit this June. These trips are a powerful opportunity to ensure our collective voice is heard where it matters most.

Your participation makes a difference—join us as we continue to advocate for the future of our industry.
