The American
Amusement Machine Association (AAMA) is committed to informing the
public about which video games are appropriate for players and their
families. In response to the questions that can arise from the wide
variety of video games that are offered today, the AAMA, together
with Congress and child advocacy groups has created the
Coin-Operated Video Game Parental Advisory System.
This easily
understandable system informs players of the content of the video
game they have chosen to play through a color-coded, “traffic light”
approach. All new coin-operated video games that are manufactured
must show the disclosure message
in the artwork of the game header. All previously manufactured
games must carry a sticker with the appropriate disclosure message.
To order disclosure message stickers, please fill out the order form
and fax it to the AAMA office at 847.290.9121.

In order to
determine the correct rating for your game, simply follow the
guidelines of the AAMA’s game rating system by answering the
numbered questions accordingly. Please be aware that these
guidelines have been revised and all new games must be rated
according to the new specifications. After filling out the form
with the appropriate rating for your game(s), please fax the
competed form to the AAMA office at 847.290.9121 so that we may
include your games in our game ratings list.
