Scholarship Program:
The
AAMA is pleased to offer two (2), $2100.00 scholarships to qualified
applicants to the AMOA Notre Dame Management Development Program!
The Management
Development Program was designed specifically for the coin-operated
amusement, music and vending industry. Sessions focus on the business
issues that are related to our industry and are patterned after Notre
Dame's Executive MBA program. Many of the topics covered in the
program include: Strategic Planning for Small Business, Business Law,
Communications, Customer Service, Current Industry Legal Problems,
Economics and the Music/Games Industry, Financial Analysis of
Equipment Inventory, Making Technology Work for You, Understanding the
Evolving Customer and Public Relations.
Classes are
conducted over the weekend, which allow minimal interruption in your
work schedule. The program requires a commitment to 5 weekend sessions
over a 2 1/2 year period and graduates will receive a "Certified
Business Executive" certificate upon completion.
Legislative Representation:
The AAMA is constantly working with its' legal team to keep abreast of
issues on Capitol Hill. We Continue monitoring regular updates on
federal legislative and regulatory industry-related issues. And have
been incredibly successful in the fight against Video Content Issues.

For many years now, the AAMA has brought its members huge savings

Parental
Advisory System:
The American Amusement Machine
Association together with its sister association (AMOA) have developed
a coin-operated
Video Game
Parental Advisory System for coin-operated video games.
The system was developed to educate
consumers about the content of various video games, using an
easy to follow color-coded system.
As part of the System, AAMA and
AMOA have agreed to a landmark industry-wide Code of Conduct that
enhances awareness of and compliance with the new System. In a further
effort to ensure widespread implementation of the System, AAMA, AMOA
and allied trade associations have collaborated on the development and
implementation of a comprehensive Education Program which includes
distributing a PAS brochure explaining the system and ratings one game
may carry.
