The American Amusement Machine Association (AAMA) is an international non-profit trade organization representing the manufacturers, distributors and part suppliers of the coin-operated amusement industry.  AAMA was founded in 1981 by a small group of amusement coin-operated machine manufacturers concerned with the future of their industry. A Board of Directors, selected by its members, governs the AAMA. Committees work with the Association staff to develop programs to promote and protect the industry. Members donate their time, effort and expertise on a voluntary basis.

For over 20 years, the AAMA has served its membership through legislative efforts, promotional  arenas, foreign business development and much much more.  It is our job to serve as the voice for these segments of the coin-operated interactive amusement machine industry.

AAMA'S MISSION

TO PRESERVE, PROTECT AND PROMOTE THE COIN-OPERATED ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY

PRESERVE

  1. Seeking out opportunities that support the manufacturer, distributor, operator partnership.

  2. Providing a vehicle for evaluation and communication.

  3. Acting as a liaison between members of the association and others within the industry.

PROTECT

  1. Monitoring developments both within and outside the industry, which affects the industry and to disseminate such information to members of the industry.

  2. Providing joint representation of association members before legislative and administrative agencies and in court proceedings, and promote the interests of the industry before government officials and legislative bodies.

PROMOTE

  1. Engaging in advertising and publicity and otherwise to bring before the public information regarding the coin-operated amusement machine industry.

  2. Searching for ways for owners of coin-operated amusement machines to improve their profitability; and disseminate the association's findings to those owners, in order to promote improvement in the economic well-being of the industry.

The American Amusement Machine Association is the industry's:

  • Premier data source

  • Advocate before Congress and the Federal Government

  • Educator and provider of learning and training programs

  • Voice before the media

  • Provider and owner of two premier convention and trade shows. The Amusement Showcase International (ASI) held every spring and the International Exposition for Amusement Machines also known as EXIME held every summer in Mexico; and

  • Primary source for networking; bringing manufacturers, distributors and operators together.
